So, of course, I was honored — floored — when Framebridge asked me to curate six new gallery walls for their online store. You should have seen me, walking around my house with a tape measure for days. Every wall felt like an opportunity. And I hope you see these curations as opportunities, too! I grouped my very favorite frames — antiqued metals, warm woods, British country — and paired them with eclectic mats, offering different variants so that these galleries are sure to look good to matter what you choose to frame.
And one note on that: Framebridge does frame physical art and photos, of course. However, their gallery walls are made up exclusively of digital uploads. To add any of these gallery walls to your home, you’ll need to upload photos or digital art pieces. I did a little of both! I can’t wait to see what you choose to frame!

I’ve always dreamed of hanging a collection of old family photos going up the staircase to our family room. This is where our family hangs out the most, and the addition of classic photos of our parents and grandparents — and even Chris and myself as little kids! — makes this space feel even more nostalgic. This galley wall is a grand arrangement of 12 British Country frames that truly look antique and feel collected over time. There are two variants: One with linen and striped mats and one with warm white mats. There are also hanging guides for both the left and right of your staircase (so this works for whichever side you want/where your wall is).

I can think of so many places in our house that could benefit from an elegant, cohesive triptych. A triptych really tells a story. There are two variants: one that’s a thin espresso-colored hardwood and one that’s thin gold rope. The mats are bottom-weighted — which adds a lot of drama — and the 8×12 photo size works really well for iPhone photos. I uploaded some digital art for this space above the bed in our guest house, but I could totally see these frames filled with gorgeous sepia-toned travel photos.

I had originally planned this gallery wall for around the piano. It’s a loose, organic arrangement of nine frames, designed to wrap around the top of a 60″ piano, desk, dresser, or headboard. I love how relaxed and easy and collected this gallery wall feels — like you found a just-right piece of art at the flea market, and you whimsically added it to this grouping. I uploaded a lot of vintage seascape art for this arrangement. But it also feels like the most natural way to document big accomplishments: Picture graduation photos, big wins, and first prize photos, all arranged around your desk at home. This one comes in two variants: dark eclectic and mixed metallics.

This is a long, staggered grid of portrait frames. Ten in total, it’s the perfect gallery wall for a hallway full of family photos. There’s a British Country variant — with colored and striped mats and a really eclectic feel — and an Antiqued Gold variant — that feels warm, like a wall full of heirlooms. I uploaded a collection of distinguished portraits that I hope to add to over time. My girls and I have already started making up stories about the men and women in these portraits.

This is a simple, small pair of coordinating frames that you can hang anywhere. Maybe two frames doesn’t feel like a gallery wall to you, but it feels like the start of one to me. This is a great duo for a pair of wedding photos — or each of your parents’ wedding photos. These would be great to hang in your kitchen and show off the best food photography from your garden last year or a sweet pair of pet photos. I also like these for showing a whole scene (like your childhood home) and then a close-up (like the porch you used to swing on). There’s a gold-and-black variant as well as one with polished wood. I think you’ll really like this one.

This is the gallery wall that started it all for us. We hung this one in our hallway in our last house and then we moved it the hallway in this home — but it really started to sing when we moved it to the dining room. It’s so fun to sit around the table for dinner and talk about all of the vacations and memories we already have up on the wall. The girls can’t believe how little they look in some of these pictures, and I can’t believe how big they look now. This add-on comes with five additional frames to add to the right and the left of the Staggered Grid. Best of all, the hanging guide is split — and comes with markings for where our existing frames already are! I love the mixed metallics here. This is a wall that I know we’ll continue to add to until we’re out of wall space 🙂
